There is NO rain date.
In case of inclement weather, management reserves the right to alter/modify the race course or cancel for safety concerns. In the case of a cancellation (natural disaster/terrorist act/etc.) there will be No Refunds of race entry fees. Athletes must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Any decision we make to go forth with the race is based on the overall event safety.
Management reserves the right to reject or accept any race entry.
Entry fee may be rolled over to next year's event up to two weeks prior to race date. Please contact race management to request roll over.
Entry fees may not be transferred to another racer.
XTERRA Eureka Springs will follow USAT Article IV, Swimming Conduct Rules
Each age group participant shall be permitted to wear a wet suit without penalty in any event sanctioned by USA Triathlon up to and including a water temperature of 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
When the water temperature is greater than 78 degrees, but less than 84 degrees, age group participants may wear a wet suit at their own discretion, provided however, that participants who wear a wetsuit within this temperature range shall not be eligible for prizes or awards. (Specifically, XTERRA points will not be awarded)
Age group participants shall not be permitted to wear wet suits in water temperatures of 84 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.
the wet suit policy for elite athletes shall be determined by the USAT Athletes Advisory Council. The ACC has established the wetsuit maximum temperature at 68 degrees Fahrenheit for swim distances of less than 3000 meters.
Effective January 1, 2013 any swimmer wearing a wetsuit with a thickness measured, at any part, greater than 5 millimeters shall be disqualified.
Water temperatures will be measured one week and one day prior to the event and posted on the website. Final determination of wet suit status will be made race morning at least one hour prior to the start. BE Prepared - regardless the posted water temperatures leading up to race day, Lake Leatherwood is a spring fed lake and temps can vary depending on rainfall amounts.
